Not Sure We’re Ready For This But An Animated Adaptation of “The Watchmen” Could Happen
Does this include “Tales of the Black Freighter?”
According to CBR.com, an animated adaptation of The Watchmen could be happening after reports of a survey going out from Warner Bros. The adaptation would obviously be R-rated, and the producers swear this would be a faithful adaptation of the famed graphic novel from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
Our take
If this really is a faithful, and I mean 100% faithful, I’m all for it. Not like The Killing Joke which was 75% with the producers deciding to throw in 25% of garbage backstory for Batgirl, I mean 100%. Unlike some, I actually enjoyed the live-action Watchmen film, however, I can’t say the same about anything Zack Snyder has directed since then. Sure, Alan Moore’s gonna be pissed off, but Alan Moore gets pretty annoyed at a lot of things, however, we still love the guy’s work.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
