Four animated shows announced by FOX for 2014 dev that we need to see results from in 2015

50-Cent animated series

50cent

Ok, yes, this series was first announced a million years ago. That said, the hip-hop superstar in 50 Cent had mentioned way back in April of 2014 that the pilot had indeed been picked up. When and where this series is going to be anyone’s guess, but the Carl Jones-written series sounds like it has a bunch of promise. Will it happen in 2015? I think a lot of it may depend on the future of Black Dynamite on Adult Swim, because if that Jones-produced series gets knocked out, Carl’s gonna have a lot of free time on his hands.

Queen of Everything

The Zooey Deschanel series I think has a home on Tuesday Nights on FOX. We’ve been screaming about it all year long, and did again after the network’s TCA presentation where they noted they want to add programming on Tuesdays. Reruns of Family Guy work on Tuesday nights, so a brand-new Deschanel inspired series as a lead-in to New Girl sounds like a no-brainer. I like the idea of this happening in 2015, even if it is just the announcement for a full season order.

Dark Lord of Delaware

delaware

First announced back in February of 2014, we kinda thought that Dark Lord of Delaware sounded a lot like Golan the Insatiable. The concept about a stay-at-home dad figure in a more of a fantasy environment that shows shades of Golan, and fast-forward to a couple weeks ago when we found that Golan has been picked up for 30 minute episodes with a very similar premise, and I think you can kiss this one good bye. I liked the idea, but I just think this space is too crowded right now.

Murder Police

This show was supposed to premier in January of 2014, but that never happened. All 13-episodes were produced, and then FOX cancelled it, but with the success of animated television on Sunday Nights and the increased numbers of Brooklyn 99, one couldn’t think the combination of the two concepts could work. FOX could use a bunch of original content for the summer, especially other programs to surround Bordertown and the return of Golan the Insatiable with on Sunday Nights. The show’s done, why not?
