WONDER NO MORE! ‘Archer’ Picked Up for Three More Seasons

I was scared shitless a couple of weeks ago when it sounded like Archer would at best be around for only one more season at best, but not anymore! FX has announced that three, eight-episode seasons of the animated comedy have been ordered. That’s right…that’s only 24 episodes of Archer which will mean the franchise will stay on FX through Season Nine.

Even though we’re only getting eight episodes a season for the foreseeable future (the first eight are coming in 2017), I wonder if any of those episodes will in fact be longer? Say hour-long specials or whatnot. Moreover, I’m wondering if less Archer will help Matt Thompson and Adam Reed concentrate on different projects so something like this doesn’t happen again.
