Watch This ‘Simpsons’ Intro Made Entirely from Stock Footage

Ah, The Simpsons intro. Instantly recognizable, timeless (pay no attention to the updates in the newer version), and endlessly spoofed. A lot of people have put an immense amount of effort into animating alternate openings and shooting shot-for-shot live-action versions over the years.

Not this one.

Courtesy of VideoBlocks.com, a stock footage sales site, “Recreating The Simpsons Intro Using Stock Footage” is exactly as it sounds. The result is a minute-long collage of random, unrelated bits of video that actually resembles the original quite a bit.
