Watch The Before & After Of How Tuca & Bertie’s “Kissing U” Sequence Came To Be

Moves like Jagger?

Not only are we talking about best new animated series of the year, but so far, Tuca & Bertie have best animated series of 2019 pretty much on lock down. That said, the year is still early and anything could happen with heavy franchises like Big Mouth, South Park, and others coming later in the year, but it’s gonna be tough for the boys to catch this one.

The series featured an animated musical sequence for a track called “Kissing U” Netflix has posted both a before and after the sequence was produced to show you how it all went down. Warning, if you’re drinking coffee, spit it out now before watching because Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong are dangerously funny.

The series stars Tiffany Haddish (Legends of Chamberlain Heights) as the voice of Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan, and Bertie voiced by Ali Wong (American Housewife), an anxious, daydreaming songbird. Both are 30-something year-old bird-women pals who live in the same apartment building. Other cast slated to be part of the series includes Nicole Byer, Richard E. Grant, John Early, Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Amber Ruffin, Jermaine Fowler, Tessa Thompson, plus Steve Yeun voicing the role of Bertie’s boyfriend. Lisa Hanawalt is the creator of the series and Shadowmachine is producing.
