VRV/Mondo Set To Premiere “Lastman” This Friday
Well, this is timely.
Set to stream this Friday on VRV/Mondo is Lastman, a new animated series that follows Richard Aldana, a hero who never wanted to be one, 10 years before he kicks everyone’s ass in the comic book, Lastman. He must save the life of his friend’s daughter, Siri, while trying to save his own life in a boxing ring. Producers Mondo promise adventures that are full of fighting, gangsters, and paranormal activity.
Lastman is produced by feature-film producer Didier Creste and we can expect to see 26 episodes that kick off this Friday @ 3pm PST only on VRV/Mondo. Check out a quick teaser below and look out for the review shortly after the premiere.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
