“Ugly Americans” Producers Back In Saddle With Comedy Central

This could be something.

Ugly Americans producers Daniel Powell and Devin Clark are reuniting under the Irony Point banner to produce, develop, and pitch animated series for Comedy Central according to a new report from Deadline.

Powell and Irony Point partner Alexandra Bach will develop and search for new animation talent while Devin Clark will be an executive in helping shepherd this aforementioned to a network that is in sore need of it.  Last year, Comedy Central canceled Legends of Chamberlain Heights, Jeff & Some Aliens, and The Gorburger Show despite all three shows having ardent and growing followings and critical acclaim.

Ugly Americans is an animated horror-comedy series that follows Mark Lilly, social worker at the Department of Integration, as he helps human and “other” citizens adapt to life in the Big Apple. There are vampires, land-whales, werewolves, a demon ex-girlfriend and a zombie roommate to contend with, but Mark’s up to the challenge.
