Coming this Fall to theaters everywhere is a brand-new film from the studios that brought you BoJack Horseman, TripTank, and a hefty amount of resume to make most other studios blush. The film is entitled ‘Hell and Back’ and the very first trailer debuted last week, and as such, we decided to take it apart and see what kind of plot devices and secrets we can uncover.
Welcome to hell where Bob Odenkirk voices the Devil. Bob is best known for his most recent starring-vehicle Better Call Saul, but less we forget he also co-produced Mr. Show which helped launch the careers of David Cross, Sarah Silverman, Jack Black, and a litany of others.
In Hell and Back, The Devil runs things in hell and is the main antagonist of the film. The Devil believes in sacrifices and basically showcasing that he is the man around these parts, and usually he wants an audience to watch his work.
Augie (T.J. Miller) heads over to a fortune teller, and while being read his fortune, his pal Remy (Nick Swardson) finds a book . It’s in this book where a blood oath is discovered.
The blood oath is broken by Augie and Remy’s friend Curt (Rob Riggle). As a result, Curt is sent to hell and both Augie and Remy have to go get him back. So yea, they have to go to Hell and Back…see what I did there?
When the boys get to hell, they must risk everything to save their friend from demons, Greek legends, and The Devil himself.
Hell and Back will release theatrically nationwide on October 2nd, 2015.
