Trade Paperback Review: Brickleberry: Armoogeddon

All four winners, in one easy package.

The latter half of last year, 2016, saw a new issue of the Brickleberry mini-series comic being released monthly. You can read our previous reviews of each individual comic, but each issue scored a very high rating. We praised the comics for bringing the same show that we know and love, to a graphic novel format. No corners were cut: It was undeniably Brickleberry at its best. The large and devoted fan base of the series was reminded just why the animated franchise was their favorite.

Now in 2017, we have a nice, neat compilation of the complete quadrilogy. Each issue is flawlessly transferred from the original comic release, even with Bodean’s rambling run-on sentence introductions. Renowned comic book artist Bernard Chang has an original piece of art that is included in this paperback, along with fan art that if I recall correctly, originated from Deviant Art. The value is here, considering the span of four installations and extra artwork, for under $15.

The ArMOOgeddon arch is hilarious, outrageous, twisted, and definitely worth the purchase. If you missed any of the four parts, this paperback would be perfect to fill in the remainder of what you missed. Heck, even if you own every individual comic, you should still buy the paperback so that you’ve got the entire story contained in one convenient place. The trade paperback was selling out on Amazon, last I checked, and with the wild success of Sausage Party, the ArMOOgeddon comic would be perfect to bridge the gap for a Brickle movie. 2016 brought us the individual comics, 2017 brought us the compilation; hopefully 2018 will bring the fans the logical next step, a full-length feature film.
