Don “Duck” Edwing

Don “Duck” Edwing, MAD writer and artist passed away at the age of 82. Don is one of the most legendary ‘gag’ cartoonists of the last half-century, having produced for the Spy vs Spy strip for 12 years as part of MAD, and has had other cartoons appear in the likes of Playboy. 


Carrie Fisher

In related news, Carrie Fisher, most popularly known as “Princess Leia” of Star Wars fame, has passed away at the age of 60 after being taken off a plane over the weekend with heart failure. In the cartoons circle, Carrie was the voice of Peter’s boss “Angela” in the hit series, Family Guy.
