THR INTERVIEWS PAUL FRUSCO AKA ‘ALF’…COULD THERE BE A MOVIE IN THE WORKS?

Could there be an Alf feature film on the way? According to this recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Frusco is getting to pitch that very same thing. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

Fusco has worked for years to re-launch the brand — with varying levels of success — and he’s spent months fine-tuning his latest effort: In a few weeks, Fusco will be pitching an ALF feature film to a major studio. Should it get the greenlight, it will cap one of the more circuitous pop culture stories of the past 30 years.

For those who don’t remember what Alf is  it was a prime-time sitcom on NBC that ran for four seasons then later spun off into an animated series for 26 episodes after its live-action cancellation. The plot centers around an alien that crash lands in a garage owned by the Tanner family. The show was said to be both a nightmare to produce and costly, but after 30 plus years of nothingness Alf could be making a comeback to the big screen. Question is, can he still be an effective money maker? Do you think people want more Alf? Sound off below and give us your thoughts.
