Former producers of The Simpsons, Bill Oakley (happy birthday, Bill!) and Josh Weinstein took a trip down memory lane to regale us of a scene in a classic episode of The Simpsons that had just celebrated it’s 25th anniversary entitled “Homer the Smithers” where Homer becomes the new Smithers and serves all of his bosses needs. Because of this, Burns acts way more cheery than normal and a particular greeting took a deep dive courtesy of Josh and Bill who actually pitched the specific gag used.

Last, but not least, a new episode of The Simpsons premieres this Sunday Night on FOX entitled “Bart the Bad Guy”. In it, Bart accidentally sees a new superhero movie a month before it comes out — and the world cowers before his newfound plot-spoiling powers. Check out a clip below and set your DVR now!
