It has been over 10 years since there has been a new piece of the Lion King franchise. To kick off a brand new 2016 television series, Disney gave us a pre-holiday hour-long movie titled The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It takes place after the original Lion King movie and somewhere in the middle of Lion King 2.
