Son Of Zorn officially in ‘contention’ at FOX

Over the summer, we told you guys about a live action/animated pilot being developed by Clone High producers Phil Miller and Chris Lord starring Jason Sudeikis, Cheryl Hines, and a number of other well known stars. The series, Son of Zorn, was expected to be presented for pilot to FOX, and according to Deadline that presentation must have been good because now the series is “in contention” to being picked up to series.

I would think being a hybrid series, that if we want ANY chance of seeing this show air next year that a pickup would have to happen before the end of the year, maybe Q1 at latest. In any case, FOX better hurry because ABC is thinking about a hybrid series as well, and the network likes to consider itself ‘forward-thinking’ in terms of content.
