The Simpsons get renewed for a 26th Season!

Given the fact that we now know that someone is set to die on The Simpsons, and that there has already been a cross-over announced with Family Guy, it’s no surprise that a press release would come out the other day and announce that The Simpsons have been renewed for a 26th Season by FOX!

So far so good for The Simpsons’ 25th Season as the first two episodes have been really good and from the sounds of it 26 is going to be as well. In a statement to the press, 20th Century FOX Chairman Kevin Reilly had THIS to say about the pickup:

“For more than a quarter of a century, THE SIMPSONS has captured the hearts and minds of fans in a way that transcends ages, languages and cultures,” said Reilly. “This groundbreaking series is not only the longest-running scripted show in television history, it’s one of the greatest sitcoms of our time, and I’m looking forward to yet another landmark season.”

The Simpsons return with all new episodes on November 3rd on FOX.
