Shorts Review: Smosh Babies #18 “Learning to Read”

What the hell did I watch? Smosh babies for me has been fluctuating between barely tolerable to down right terrible but not a single episode has just blown me away by how just plain… I don’t even know, then Learning to Read. The story of the episode is that much like in Smosh, Ian is an idiot and the other kids find out that he can’t read and accuse him of being either a criminal or a loser. Ian manages to show the kids he isn’t a criminal which leads them to the obvious conclusion that he is an alien, and to verify it they attach his balls up to some wiring to power a TV, threatening him if he can’t power a TV then they’ll have the dog Bark-Bark bite his nuts off. And that’s where it ends.

With the season’s traditional stock animation and laziness aside, this episode is so all over the place and nonsensical that on one level its just bad like in episode 16 Anthony’s Sister. But Learning to read just pushes the weirdness to 11 and without much buildup just ends on Ian baby with his balls attached to jumper cables. If you are at all interested in Smosh Babies after reading this… just watch any other episode then this one because seriously, what the fuck?
