Spoilers Below

He’s the hangman. He’s the headsman. He’s the EXECUTIONER!

The title character, an actual medieval times executioner who runs southern California’s only licensed assassin-for-hire business, kicked off this inauguration episode doing what he does best: slicing, dicing and julienning. Whether it’s a cheating husband, asshole boss or potential gang leaders higher up the ladder, the Executioner will execute, assassinate and straight up murder for clients.

Ye Olde Commercial” is presented in the style of a classic noontime infomercial, consisting of “actual footage”, testimonials from satisfied customers and the usual fast-talking, impossible-to-read disclaimers at the end. Not to mention the all too common puns.

The death scenes are over-the-top, but the more heads that roll, the more viewers will be ROFL (apologies for that tasteless acronym, it crept into my vocabulary unexpectedly). In its minute and a half runtime, it packs enough laughs to fill some of the more popular animated television series’ 30-minute time slots, and yours truly has subscribed to Rug Burn’s channel to get a dose of sidesplitting humor every other Tuesday.
