Shorts Review: Battlefield Friends: “YouTube Gamer”

On this week’s episode, we get to hear from the Battlefield Friends crew about everyone’s favorite type of elitist scumbag. Check out the shenanigans after the jump!

Spoilers Below

When I play first person shooters, I generally play some sort of objective game. Mostly I play Domination, but also Capture the Flag, or Sabotage. And playing those games, you always come across these jerkoffs who try to set up the most ridiculous kill, or get the highest kill streaks. They do all of this for terrible YouTube notoriety. Well, the guys at Battlefield Friends tackle this very problem.

Noob tells the gang that he is going to start a gaming channel on YouTube. He is going to use high quality gaming footage for it! That would be awesome, except he sucks, and the over saturation of the market is insane. In this game alone, half of the people are shooting footage. Noob is going to market his gaming videos by using his site for comments on other channels, and collaborate with other YouTubers. Noob names his channel “Conquest and Kittens.” Noob and his collaborator run off and leave the rest of the team to debate the merits of game footage videos. That is, until, LevelCap comes in and mows them down with ACE-23.

This is beyond spot on. The amount of time wannabe YouTube sensations put into being nobodies, especially at the expense of others, just makes no sense. Everything they brought up makes sense, especially everyone capturing their shitty gameplay footage for their bad gaming sites. This is a user fad that needs to go away.

This episode has a higher purpose, though. This is the prelude to Neebs Gaming. To get the most out of it, watch this before going on to the channel. I died from both videos.
