Shorts Review: Battlefield Friends “M2 Slam”

This week, the BFF team takes on playing dirty. Some see it as a way to perverse the game, others find it like drugs. What side do you take?

It looks like Engineer found something in Battlefield 4: the M2 Slam. For anyone who hasn’t done this yet, it’s when a friendly puts an M2 Slam unit on a quad, and rides up on a tank, killing the tank, but the quad rider is alive. Recon and Medic tell Engineer that’s playing dirty, and shouldn’t do it, but fuck that. Engineer wants his fix. So, Engineer actually plays nice with Noob. Engineer kills himself, gets another quad, and Noob throws the M2 Slam onto the quad. Engineer got a lot of points for the kill, so he gets in on the action. What Noob doesn’t understand is that it has to be someone else’s M2 Slam for the explosive to not kill you.

Oh, Noob. You find new and inventive ways to kill yourself. I really love how this show takes on the laundry list of things that the Battlefield community finds are an issue. However, this one is a little sketchy. The explosives are being used as intended, except the ground they’re on is moving. I don’t see a real problem here. The standout scene is when Engineer is riding towards the enemy tank. That bit looked really well done. This has been a fantastic season so far, and there’s only more exploits to come.
