Sausage Party going to SXSW; First still

I’m actually somewhat nervous about the future of Seth Rogen’s Sausage Party animated Rated-R film.  We just haven’t heard that much about it, and you would think someone would have bought some advertising by now given the fact that we’ve seen a bunch of promotions of other movies like Independence Day 2 and what not that are also releasing in the summer.

Instead, Seth Rogen will be going to SXSW according to Deadline and revealing early footage of Sausage Party in front of a live audience. The film opens August 12 and follows a sausage’s quest to discover his existence. Rogen, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Paul Rudd and Nick Kroll lead the voice cast.

Sausage Party is a Special Event, but it’s also part of Convergence and SouthBites, which means it’s open to all badge types. The toon will screen at 9:30 PM Monday, March 14, at the Paramount Theatre.
