Rumor: “Close Enough” Coming Later This Summer On TBS

Thank Christ for us covering TBS animation.

Like usual with TBS series, a new animated series is on the way and the network hasn’t so much as posted a poster at San Diego Comic Con. Fortunately, we are hearing that the series is slated to premiere this Summer, so it won’t be too much longer before the new series from Regular Show creator JG Quintel comes to fruition.

The surreal comedy about a family growing up without getting old marks the first collaboration between Cartoon Network Studios and Studio T, both divisions of Turner. It also marks Quintel’s first project for the company since his Emmy®-winning work on Cartoon Network’s long-running Regular Show. TBS has ordered 13 episodes of Close Enough.

Close Enough is a surreal take on transitioning from 20-something to 30-something. The show centers on a married couple juggling such everyday challenges as parenthood, friendship, ham theft, stripper clowns and choosing the right day care.
