“Rick and Morty” Season Five Start Date Announced
The fifth season of Rick and Morty has been announced for a start date of June 20th @ 11pm ET/PT. Adult Swim has made the announcement with a trailer that you can watch below and it includes a cavalcade of adventures including the entire family getting in on intergalactic space warfare, messing around with what seems to be Atlantis, and perhaps another go at Morty’s mind blowers? Dig in as ten episodes are on the way, however, it’s unclear if the network plans to split up the season again like they did with season four, or, if they are going to let the entirety of the show’s fifth season to air. With Summer being a doldrum of new content, I’m hoping it’s the latter.
In the meantime, June 20th will be seen as “Rick and Morty Day” that will be celebrated globally with a whole bunch of sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes footage, and surprises on TV, social, and digital.
Synopsis:
Rick and Morty is a show about a sociopathic scientist who drags his unintelligent grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe. Created and executive produced by Dan Harmon (Community, Channel 101) and Justin Roiland (House of Cosbys).
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
