REVIEW:SOUTH PARK “CARTMAN FINDS LOVE”
Episode Synopsis: A romance for Cartman may finally become a reality when there’s a new girl at school. Original Air Date: Apr 25, 2012
Spoilers Below
A new girl named Nicole starts in at South Park Elementary and despite Cartman’s best efforts to set her up with Token she actually is more interested in Kyle. However, when Cartman tells Nichole that Kyle is gay which quickly spreads throughout school like a wildfire. After locking Token and Nichole in the school gym overnight, it looks as though Cartman’s plan to get the couple going have paid off as they really do hit it off. Unfortunately, for Kyle he is the odd man out of the closet, as even though he goes through a bunch of trouble to get the attention of Nichole, Cartman keeps getting in the way to make sure her relationship with Token stays strong. Eventually, Kyle finds out what Cartman did and is PISSED can calls out the fat man for being racist.
Turns out Kyle isn’t the only one not in favor of the relationship as Nichole’s as even her dead is skeptical about the fact that she’s dating the only black guy in school. As a result, Nichole breaks it off with Token leaving it wide open for Kyle to jump on in. Kyle’s a trip too, as he takes Nichole to the Clippers v Nuggets game, but Cartman gets on the “Megatron” and professes his love for Kyle which causes Nichole to reconcile with Token.
Again for already the third time this season, IGN.com tried to make a prediction about South Park and they fell flat on their faces. That’s why I don’t really make predictions on new episodes of South Park because Matt and Trey have the power to reel you in then smack you in the head with a frying pan when you least suspect it. For this week’s episode I really loved the ‘Cupid Me’ side kick for Cartman as if the kids didn’t already have enough imaginary friends, Cartman gives us another one. Overall, South Park has been knocking them dead in its 16th season, as the creators keep showing week in and week out they are the best in the business. Here’s hoping mainstream sites like IGN just sticks to games in the future, as after this many seasons they still don’t get it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
