Review: The Loud House “The Loud Cloud/You Auto Know Better”

Overview (Spoilers Below):

The Loud Cloud

Tired of Mom’s sticky note system, Lincoln and Lisa create an app to keep track of the family’s schedule.

You Auto Know Better

Lana creates an auto body shop to try and buy a new bike, but her shop turns corrupt when Flip becomes her mentor.

Our Take:

The first episode sees the Loud family resorting to technology to keep track of their daily lives. Although, this is one scenario where it’s more troublesome than reliable. The plot consists of Lincoln and the family using the Loud Cloud to organize things easier instead of their sticky note system. They used it to schedule pick-ups, like Uber, and even manage their personal files.

Unfortunately, their desire for more features caused the Loud Cloud to malfunction, causing their files to switch places and their features to bug out with humorous results. As a result, Lincoln and Lisa decide to destroy it with the tennis ball machine, forcing them to use a whiteboard to organize their schedules instead. Along with its solid jokes, such as Leni mistaking an actual cloud for the Loud Cloud, the episode delivered an entertaining representation of the pros and cons of using technology to perform the simplest of tasks.

The second episode consists of Lana forming her own auto repair business. Considering how much of an expert she is with fixing vehicles, including the family van, this scenario is long overdue. However, the real reason for this idea is that Lana’s saving money for a new bike. After struggling to keep her business moving in the family garage, Lana borrows Flip’s garage and hires him as her mentor.

Most of its humor consists of Lana and Flip fixing up the customers’ vehicles, including Scoots’ bike. However, Flip’s cheapskate personality overshadows their business by overcharging people and providing cheap ways of fixing specific mechanical issues, including replacing a family’s van’s spark plugs with beef jerky. Lana eventually sees the error of her ways and offers to use the money she earned to buy them new spark plugs. She then vows to do her business in her own way and allows Flip to deal with the angry customers.

Overall, both episodes offer a fair share of technology hiccups and auto repairs to conclude another series of new Loud House adventures. “The Loud Cloud” is the best of the two, as it delivers an entertaining and relatable perspective on both sides of relying on technology. “You Auto Know Better” is a suitable Lana-focused episode that has her dealing with Flip’s money-obsessed scheme while maintaining her auto repair business.
