Our Take

For the first episode, the heart of the story is about a Lunchlady named “Pat” who has an actual history with the Louds, and due to some unresolved issues with them. We learn that there is both history with the teacher and we also learn what Flip’s real name actually is, and how far their history goes with Loud’s matriarch, Rita…

As for the latter, the annoyed neighbor Mr.Grouse decides to move after reaching his breaking point. But in an ironic twist gains an outside perspective when he attempts to become friends with Mr. Bolhofner.

Both were passable episodes with mostly the common theme of how that for better or worse, the Louds tend to affect the around them. While the Lunch Lady had some unresolved issues that were predictably fixed in their own unique way, the 2nd episode mostly followed the story-beats you’d come to expect in a sitcom-like scenario with a bit of self-reflection just for added measure…
