REVIEW: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM “The Smug Chiropractor; Corporate Disaster”

In the third-season finale, the Boss makes Tim’s race an issue; and a company publicist wants Tim to be Omnicorp’s spokesperson after an environmental catastrophe.

Spoilers Below

THE SMUG CHIROPRACTOR

Tim gets invited to a poker game with The Boss and a bunch of famous people, the coolest of which is Tim Meadows. Meadows is not Tim’s biggest fan, that is until he drops a grand playing poker to the token white guy, but Tim opts to forgive the debt if Meadows shows up to a fundraiser for a chiropractor named Matt of whom earlier in the show Tim offended. But, when Meadows shows up to the event, he gets drunk and tries to do stand-up that eventually ends up in bloodshed.

CORPORATE DISASTER

Omnicorp owns a building that had some sort of an environmental disaster in Bergen County, NJ sending all the low-level employees home…that is except big shot Tim. So much so that the Omnicorp PR team decides to make Tim the face of the company by having him answer a bunch of questions from the press which of course he screws up.  However, Rod pretty much saves the day by offering a solution that warrants him a 6-figure bonus. Tim,however has to leave the country with Amy and head to the Caribbean where he gets paid to hang out in a resort all day

Ohhh mannnn, I’m really gonna miss Tim, and this was one hell of a way to go out. The short featuring Tim Meadows was great, but “Corporate Disaster” left me scratching in my head, but in a good way. If Tim is on an island resort, what happens to Stu and Rodney?  Is Amy going to be OK with the relocation? What is Tim’s job status, I ask this question because to start of the season he was unemployed, then he gets his job back with a promotion, and now he’s seen as the face of the company which is drawing the ire of both the public and his job. I am voting I hope the show comes back, it doesn’t matter on which network, but obviously with HBO you get certain freedoms you wouldn’t find on Comedy Central or MTV. Its a good show, its funny, its different, but as I mentioned last week I would rather lie to see this show on a Monday or Tuesday night instead of a Friday night. Also, here’s hoping it doesn’t take another two years for this deal to come back and hope to see it soon!
