REVIEW: The Cleveland Show “Y Tu Jr. Tambien”

Cleveland Jr. begins dating a gorgeous young Latina, arousing Cleveland’s suspicions about her motives. Guest voices include Rosie Perez (Chonni) and Baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Bench (as himself).

Cleveland’s worried as hell about Junior being single, so he tries to act like the Obi Wan to Junior’s Anakin in the dating world. And apparently it works because Junior gets cozy with this girl named Chonni, and even though he’s not crazy about her family, Cleveland can’t help but mark out to all his friends about how hot his son’s girlfriend is only to realize that she’s even better than his own wife.

Soon enough, Lester calls INS on Cecilia and her whole family, which of course freaks out Junior, who instead of watching his girlfriend leaves, he decides to propose so she can stay in the country. As a result, Junior moves out of the house and gets a job at the Mexican restaurant that Cecilia’s family works at, only to soon learn about one of America’s noblest traditions…DIVORCE!

The Cleveland Show would’ve had the reward tonight for funniest Animation Domination episode had it not been for tonight’s The Simpsons’  but boy was this a good one. Maybe the best of the year! Everything from Cleveland’s ridiculous outbursts during Junior’s songs to Cecilia, to the last scene which was absolutely out of control, probably ensures that this show will be hard pressed to move from this time slot(but it will next week).
