REVIEW: THE ANNOYING ORANGE “FRUITASTIC VOYORANGE”

The fruits shrink themselves and enter Nerville’s body to remove an alien implant in his brain.

Nerville gets abducted into an alien space craft but ends up in the dumpster for three days. After he tells Orange and the gang, Nerville’s powers start going crazy causing a bunch of damage throughout the grocery store. After going to the Dr, turns out Nerville has a chimp implanted in his brain that was put in there by Broccoli-Alien Overlord who wants to use Nerville as a way to destroy the world! The Dr., suggests to shrink all the fruits so that they can go inside Nerville’s body to get rid of the chip.

The fruit become bite-sized and Nerville’s lunch to where now we see them in the guy’s stomach and digestive system. Thankfully, the fruits are able to avoid full on digestion and head to the brain…bwah hahahah see what I did there?? Soon, enough the Broccoli Overlord show up to the store and tell the doctor that he better shrink them too so they can stop the fruits. This turns into an intergalactic space battle and thankfully the fruits are able to avoid the veggies before being absorbed and the chip is destroyed! The whole group gets sneezed out and the veggies get tossed!

You know, the fact that Nerville has no brain FINALLY solves the long sought after mystery as to why he is so terrible in this show. That said I actually had a lot of fun with this one. Almost reminding me of Osmosis Jones, the crazy fight scenes between the fruits and veggies were a lot of fun showcasing the animators talents maybe more so than the other episodes. Heck, even Nerville wasn’t completely awful, except for the opening scene which had me thinking this week had train wreck all over it, the fun premise and very well done action sequences helped out.
