REVIEW: SQUIDBILLIES ‘GUN OF A SON’
Spoilers Below Y’all Sonsabitches
Gun control: it’s a thing people bitch about. Definitely.
In this episode of Squidbillies, Rusty accidentally gets most of his face blown off by his poppa Early (who looks meth’d off his rocker) while entering the Cuyler home late one night. Fortunately for Early, Rusty was carrying his baby boy at the time – who conveniently takes the fall for this crime. Blaming a shooting on a baby: the perfect crime. I won’t divulge the exact explanation that Early gives regarding what transpired, as it’s pretty amusing, but it’s somehow credible enough for him to be let off the hook in Dougal County (not entirely surprising considering who the Sherrif is (I love that guy)).
I’m not sure what I expect season finales to be comprised of these days (this was the season finale), especially not in a show without an episode-to-episode sequential plot, but this episode didn’t feel very finale-y. Personally, I would have put one of the more over the top episodes (especially one with a song) at the end of the season (like this episode) to finish things up with more pomp and circumstance.
All in all, this episode had a few spots that made me almost chuckle and had some great lines that I will probably go around repeating (regarding babies owning guns).
Babies need guns people, don’t ruin this country.
SEE YA NEXT SEASON BITCH.
Its ya boy,
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
