Review: Spongebob Squarepants “Squid Noir”
Squiddies.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
Someone took Squidward’s clarinet and after clearing Spongebob and Patrick of charges, the duo joins the restaurant greeter in tracking down who took it. After clearing a bunch of suspects, Squidward discovers who took the clarinet and we get a bit of a performance.
Our Take
That last minute of colors was kinda cool, but I loved the black & white “noir” episode’s look. Unfortunately, the premise was too cliched and none of the dialogue was all that funny. Maybe a laugh here or there, but overall, pretty plain jane. There was a bit where Spongebob had a battle with action figures, but I would’ve liked to have seen more ingenuity going back and forth between the battle and the show.
