The Dot Com Before the Storm

Can you imagine a time before the internet? Well, Bongo decides to give us a blast to the past after Homer stumbles into the basement of the nuclear power plant where Mr. Burns has the entire internet. That’s right, Mr. Burns owns the internet, and when Homer finds it he spits beer all over it and it short circuits all the servers and lands Homer in front of a judge. Once there, the judge orders Homer and his family to be the new internet, in other words all the great things the internet is used for nowadays  the Simpsons n0w have to do, everything from providing adult entertainment, illegally and legally obtaining media, and of course social networking by way of Grampa Simpson.

Overall, I thought this was a well thought out story, I can’t imagine being without the internet as I would have nothing to do at work all day. Pretty great seeing what Marge and the family’s take on replacing Youtube videos and their answer for Facebook’s replacement. Also, Homer lands a KILLER Myspace joke halfway through the story which if I were Tom Anderson would have a stomach ache after reading it. And seeing as how there are no new episodes of The Simpsons this Sunday, you should go out and buy this because who gives a fuck about the Oscars anyway?
