Review: RWBY Chibi “Nefarious Dreams”
Villainous dreams.
Spoilers Below:
“Nefarious Dreams”
Roman dreams about finding infinite money with Neo. Emerald dreams about expressing her delight with Cinder, saying she’s the mother figure that she may or may not have ever had. Cinder replies the same back. Mercury performs a nice trick on stage and Cinder praises him. He demands a foot massage of her and she does so, even if his shoes are robotic. On the other hand Cinder imagines herself with competent henchmen- all copies of herself. However, it quickly turns into a nightmare when they can’t agree who is eviler and turn against the original. Cinder wakes up in a shock and tries to reassure herself that her henchmen are alright. Unfortunately, she’s reminded that yes, they are that bad.
Score:
7/10
“Taiyang’s Escape”
Ruby and Yang are waiting for Taiyang as he’s ready to bust out of an escape room. However, it turns out he’s just in his secret room with a comfortable couch, ready to have some alone time and relax. Ruby is fooled, but Yang is more suspicious.

7/10
Team JNPR had their time, but now it’s the villains’ dream sequences that are highlighted. They are all kind of creative in their own way and of course, all revolve around Cinder. Neo doesn’t have one herself, instead just being featured in Roman’s, but that’s not too surprising considered they’re partners in crime. All the dreams highlight different parts of what each villain wants, and are funny in their own way.
A lot of Taiyang’s snippets include how incompetent he is at parenting, especially when measured up to a more laid-back Qrow, but this one demonstrates that he can be kind of tricky. He’s brought his daughters with him, but instead of worrying about them, he shows that even dads can need a break. Instead of keeping up the illusion of a demanding dad, he’s trying to have some laid-back time… in secret.
Both are funny skits, definitely an upturn in the season.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
