Review: Regular Show ‘Laundry Woes’
Spoilers Below
If you recall from the Season 4 finale, Mordecai and Margaret had a rather eventful falling out and it looks like our faithful blue jay is having a hard time dealing with it. The other park employees really do try and cheer the guy up and it looks as though he’s doing OK, only to find Marge’s pink sweater on Laundry day. Mordecai feels like this was a sign from Margaret for him to come see her, but Rigby convinces him to mail it. Unfortunately, Mordecai is having trouble writing a letter to go along with sending the sweater so Rigby does it for him but the raccoon’s hand-writing is so bad the mail lady can’t read it. Mordecai decides to take Muscle Man’s car to drive 20 hours to Margaret’s college to return her sweater, but when Rigby comes along he throws it out of the side of the window. A cop pulls the guys over and is able to save the sweater which means Mordecai and Rigby can continue their journey. Mordecai eventually gets really tired driving behind the wheel, but when Rigby tries to talk some sense into him he gets thrown out. Soon, Margaret’s sweater comes to life and tries to kill Mordecai causing him to crash. When Mordecai gets out of the car, he sees Margaret all happy and it looks as though he didn’t want to ruin it so he finds Rigby and decides to go home.
I hate doing laundry just as much as the next guy, but this week’s episode really had nothing to do with laundry so it’s cool. Instead we got more of a Road Trip-esque premise, but its cool because there was enough different shit going on in the trip including, but not limited to, the sweater coming to life and trying to kill Mordecai on the ride over. The soundtrack for this episode in particular was STELLAR, but I thought the ending left a lot to be desired in terms of a proper conclusion to what happened at the fourth finale, but that could be the grand master planner working magic. Not in love with the new time slot either, but let’s see how one of Cartoon Network’s finest plays out for the rest of the year.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
