Body Spray;

The boys try on a new body spray that attracts a bunch of new friends, and it seems to really work. Unfortunately, they only got the free sample, and at a $100 per can, the two decide to make their own. Chef Pickle shows up and puts together some sort of concoction that smells terrible to people, but attracts animals. Pickle and Peanut have a fight after they get kicked out of a party, but when Peanut gets in trouble for trying to sneak back in, Pickle shows up for the save with his new animal pals.

Our Take

I think the producers of Pickle and Peanut were extra ridiculous this go round. Like, if you really enjoy the live-action bits from the series, this one’s for you. By far this was the most we’ve seen of the live-action bits and a lot of it is disturbingly hilarious. At the end of the day, the premise was pretty much SuperBad, but at least we didn’t have to sit through Michael Cera trying to act. I also loved the morale in that when you’re a grown man that wears enough cologne or body spray to suffocate a herd of cattle, it doesn’t make you that cool.

Luxury Car Service

Pickle and Peanut get jobs so as to raise money for headphones, and they get so good they get hired by a local crime syndicate headed up by the same guy who makes the headphones. After finding out how the headphones are made, the guys are able to trick their would-be captors and bring them to justice thanks to Gary and his bathrobe.

Our Take

Kind of a take on Heat or Drive. Getting a job for headphones seems like a rather uninspiring jump off. Nowhere near as funny as the first half, and quite honestly, my least favorite Pickle and Peanut episode yet. None of the jokes were all that funny with the exception being everyone purchasing headphones made out of toilet seats. I actually do agree with the moral that buying expensive shit just because your friends do is silly, and it’s just enough to buoy this week’s episode into solidarity.
