Review: Lucas Bros Moving Company ”Four-Twenty”

Spoilers Below

As if The Matrix wasn’t weird enough, The Lucas Bros. do their spin on it! It’s 420, and the guys are fresh out of weed which seems to be making them smarter as the day moves on. At first things seem OK, the guys are way more aware of their surroundings and Jerrod introduces the duo to coffee. Eventually, the Lucas Bros. get visited by their future selves whom are trying to convince them to give up weed for good. Fortunately, a Jerrod-Morpheus shows up and kills the two and tells us that if Kenny and Keef give up drugs, they will become God-like and enslave humanity. Their options, if they take the red pill, God, the green pill? Enough dosage of THC to turn the brothers stupid again. Well, the guys choose both and end up becoming live-action which is the worst hell imaginable.

Our Take

Personally, The Matrix is one of my favorite movies of all-time. So, to see the Lucas Bros. do their spin on it is just fine for me! In any case, this week’s episode was rather hysterical. I loved Jerrod-Morpheus, and the CatDog inspired body of Kenny and Keef’s God-life being is something I want to see come to fruition. I was also pretty happy about the fact that despite the fact that this episode was about 420 and the guys not having weed, it wasn’t like a Harold and Kumar movie where the two spend the whole time looking for drugs which is something that a lot of shows both do and get away with. These guys have awesome brain-power with or without THC, and this show is proof of that.
