Review: Doc McStuffins “A Pet for Everyone”

Maybe the best Doc episode yet!

Overview (Spoilers Below)

Hallie wants a new pet and is presented with two options Make a pet at the  Wicked King’s Perfectly Royal Perfect Pet Pavilion or adopt a puppy that lives on the streets and needs a home. Clearly, adoption is a big deal around town as the Pet Rescue team holds an adoption fair that sees all of the area’s homeless pets get a home, so eventually, Hallie decides to adopt her pet as well.

Our Take

This is an important conversation and I’m glad Doc McStuffins is going here. It’s an important lesson to teach that adopting pets might be a way better option than going to some loon who tries to breed pets and hasn’t a clue what they are doing. In fact, I watch Judge Judy all the time, and there are so many cases with unlicensed breeders trying their hand at breeding animals just to make a quick buck but they screw it up and then sometimes the animals die before they even have a chance to live. For my money, adoption is the way to go and that’s essentially the moral of the Doc McStuffins story and an excellent message for kids. Great job by the producers by not only having an episode dedicated to this very important subject, but also the overall arc of a season surrounding Doc and her faithful crew making sure our furry friends are safe which is timed JUST right for a chilly holiday season.
