Review: Disney Mickey Mouse “The Scariest Story Ever: A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular
It’s not that scary.
Overview (Spoilers Below)
Mickey, Goofy, and Donald are trying their best by entertaining relatives, but it’s Mickey who takes the lead by attempting to tell spooky stories. Unfortunately, despite harrowing tales inspired by Frankenstein or Van Helsing, the kids don’t appear to be moved at all. That is until Mickey breaks out a story about an old lady who makes pies out of little children.
Our Take
By far and away, the Van Helsing story was the best-produced effort of the night, showcasing Mickey and his pals in a way more medieval setting but spiced up with enough “goofyness” so that we knew the producers weren’t attempting to be too serious. Overall, a solid episode, but I’m starting to think the whole Halloween premise of “someone tells a bunch of spooky stories” is beginning to run its course and maybe it might be time to get some fresh ideas for Halloween episodes.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
