REVIEW: DAN VS “THE TELEMARKETER”
Guest Cast John C. McGinley
Spoilers Below
Dan is getting completely fed up with telemarketers as they keep calling him non stop not even letting him sleep. Weird thing is, it sounds like the same guy just calling with different products and promotions. It gets so bad that Dan tries to crash at Elise and Chris’ house only to be kicked out by Elise. But, when Elise starts getting the calls she joins the cause to get revenge against these calling morons. Turns out the caller can be traced back to Chris’ old company 10 miles down the road and after breaking in Elise finds out that ALL of the calls are being made by one man…The Imposter!
He’s even more nuts than the last time we saw him! First, Dan tries to threaten The Imposter that if he keeps acting up he’s gonna get bit, but then Dan is reminded that if he lays a finger on The Imposter that he can wind up in jail. As such, the calling gets 100x worse, so Dan gets Chris to break into The Imposter’s house only for Chris to drop through a trap door to safety and for Dan to be held captive in a poison gas filled room. Once he wakes up he finds the Imposter in his room dressed up as the cat and then a series of weird events occur to the point where that ‘guy’ is always one step ahead and it drives Dan so crazy that he even tries to get the police involved but of course they aren’t any help! Soon, Elise discovers that Dan has a microchip in one of his teeth and knocks the poor guy out in time to retrieve it. Once she removes the chip, Dan chases The Imposter all through town and into the police station with a bat only to be thrown in jail!
Yes, kids! After a long absence Dan Vs., is back and better than ever! And they didn’t disappoint as they gave us an episode with the return of John C. McGinley’s character this time as the Telemarketer! It was a great episode and I truly loved seeing Dan just going completely nuts and as such John C. and Curtis Armstrong had excellent banter going back and forth. Also, I loved Chris’ constant foodie behavior like with his hot cocoa, and the two pies near the end, one of which was a trap sprung by Elise! Dan Vs was great this week and am looking forward to next week!
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
