Review: Bravest Warriors “Emotion Fjord”

Don’t get too emotional about the season three finale, because it’s not that great.

Spoilers Below

Chris is at dinner with Pudding Town. It’s pretty obvious that Chris is quickly losing his mind. His love for Beth is overloading his brain. Pudding Town sends Chris and the rest of the Bravest Warriors to the Emotion Fjord to find Captain Seward. Unfortunately, the Emotion Fjord is filled with emotion animals that can be dangerous to the gang. Plum’s second personality takes over in order to guide the Warriors to their destination. As they make their way through the Fjord, Beth gets covered with lovebugs, Wallow gets bitten by an adventure bug, and Danny gets slobbered on by self-doubt dogs. Danny is the only one to make it through unscathed. As such, it is his job to keep Beth and Chris from kissing.

When they finally reach the center of the Fjord, they find a captured Future Chris. He tells them that Captain Seward was killed by Queen Efward. She now has the laser eyes. Suddenly, the queen, herself, appears. Wallow attempts to attack her but fails. Danny tries to attack her but also fails. Plum’s second personality attacks her but also fails eventually. Beth kisses Chris, igniting his Emotion Sword. It isn’t until Wallow wields Chris’ Fiery Emotion Sword that she is vanquished. However, this has drained Chris and he almost dies. Beth is able to reawaken him with another kiss but his eyes are destroyed. Future Chris gives Chris his eyes, making the eye circle complete. And now, everything should be back to normal. Right?

So that was the end of the third season. That episode felt super rushed. I understand that it takes some time to write and animate a cartoon. However, they have had two and a half YEARS to work on it. Supposedly the next season will have a ton of episodes but no one really knows when that will come out. If it took two years for six episodes, how long will it take for fifty episodes to appear?

Anyway, this was at least a decent end to the season. There weren’t any cliffhangers left and some issues were kinda wrapped up. (Even if they were wrapped up TOO nicely.) Hopefully next season will actually have a real story and not a half-assed thing like this one.
