Review: American Dad! “Kiss Kiss, Cam Cam”
Tonight’s new American Dad! episode “Kiss Kiss, Cam Cam” was another stellar win for this season. This eleventh season’s first episode “Roots” is still probably my favorite so far, but Kiss Kiss is a close second. And I don’t even like baseball!
In Kiss Kiss, Stan gets Francine baseball tickets, in a very Simpsons fashion (much like when Homer gets Marge a bowling ball)– a gift which is really for himself. Right off the bat in the cold open, Klaus has some amazing lines. And later on, the Roger/Steve side plot is hilarious.
This episode feels much like old Mike Barker episodes in a way. There are so many weird, great things that happen (Bullock giving raspberries, blood/vomit, and the stadium security guy banning Stan, and so on). The romantic parts of the story are nice, and touching that Stan cares so much, and as usual, he ends up learning some lessons.
Kiss Kiss did kind of feel like it should be a Valentine’s Day episode, but it was just so solid and smooth in its pace and writing– it was undeniably good. Really feeling the love for the AD! this week.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
