Rapid Reax: Fall 2014 AniDom lineup gets its salad tossed

This fall, Animation Domination will look a whole lot different…that’s because we really don’t have an Animation Domination anymore. Instead of two hours of glorious animated series’, we are getting 90 minutes but with live-action comedies thrown in to the batch.

When The Simpsons and Family Guy return this Fall for its brand-new seasons, they will do so with Brooklyn 99 sandwiched in between them, and instead of an animated series following Family Guy, FOX will be premiering a new live-action series called Mulaney. The real loser in all of this is Bob’s Burgers. That’s because when football season returns, Bob’s Burgers and The OT will be battling for the 7:30 pm ET/PT spot. From the looks of it this probably only applies to the Sundays where FOX has the late afternoon games, so let’s say FOX NFL Sunday is @ 4 pm ET then chances are The OT will take the 7:30 pm ET slot. But, if FOX only is carrying the 1 pm ET game, FOX may still have The OT but it will air @ 7 pm ET with Bob’s Burgers to follow.

Another good thing that comes from the schedule announcement, is that of the mid-Season premier of Seth MacFarlane’s new Bordertown. For those that don’t know, BORDERTOWN is a satirical look at the cultural shifts taking place in America that is being produced by Family Guy’s Mark Hentemann  and Seth MacFarlane. That series looks to start Mid-Season 2015 for FOX.

For those pissed that American Dad isn’t on the FOX schedule this Fall. Do not worry, as my sources tell me Seth MacFarlane’s series WILL debut this Fall on TBS, so even if the series isn’t on Sunday Nights, you’ll still be getting some new AmDad. Check out more information about the FOX Sunday Night schedule below:
