PS3 / XBOX 360 Review: ‘Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon’

I’m already missing Ugly Americans. As a result,  I downloaded this game for about $10 thinking this will get me through the off season. Boy was I wrong…The only thing this game has going for it are the pretty awesome cut scenes featuring all your favorite “Ugly” characters. However that’s the only redeeming quality, and this is something I can get already via Comedy Central On-demand. The game itself is a twin-stick shooter that lets you play as any one of the four main characters. Unfortunately, they are pretty much the same character only they each have their own special ability. The game is really short but that may be another upside because if I played this any longer I would have taken a bat to my TV.

Do I have anger issues? Yes, but it’s because this game is almost impossible due to the number of enemies that surround you at any given time which ends up frustrating me to no end. The developers decided not to include any melee weapons so all you have is your “shoot em up” powers albeit you can upgrade them but really by the time they get properly upgraded, you pretty much finished the game. Oh and the “special powers” they give you actually don’t help at all because they leave you wide open to get overrun by more enemies thereby defeating the purpose.

I could’ve thought of a bunch of things better to do with 10 bucks. I could’ve easily wiped my mouth or gone to Taco Bell and get two $5  boxes. Instead, I spent it on this piece of shit.  Do yourselves a favor and don’t make the same mistake I did, just keep the money and pay for a month of Netflix.
