Playstation TV could add Comedy Central in new carriage deals
Interesting play here, let’s see if it pays off for them.
Sony is getting ready to compete with cable providers with its Internet TV service probably powered by Sony Playstations and according to The Hollywood Reporter Viacom has already signed on.
As of now its unclear if this TV service will be available to the existing installed base of Playstation users (all 78 million of them) or if this service will be included with the upcoming Playstation 4 set to release this Fall.
What we also don’t know is which of Viacom’s networks would be included in this offering, but it could include Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and others. This comes off the back of Viacom ditching Netflix and signing a new deal with Amazon.
We will report back if anything else develops.
Hi Ashley, thank you so much for reading and we love the feedback. Note that on that day we had 14th posts go up and only ten posts show on the front page, so it's possible the preview had already been archived by the time you got to it. One recommendation would be to add our RSS feed to your favorite news aggregator service like Feedly, this way you get all of the latest posts!
