“Our Cartoon President” Getting Seven Additional Episodes For Summer 2018

With the smash-hit animated series for Showtime Our Cartoon President getting ready to wrap its first season on April 8th, fans have certainly been wondering about the future of the series. Fortunately, it’s a good future.

As it turns out, the producers of Our Cartoon President and Showtime both believe that Donald Trump will stay in office at least through the summer as seven more episodes have been ordered for production.

Our Cartoon President looks to open “the White House doors for an ‘all access’ look at a typical day in Donald Trump’s world, examining quintessentially Trumpian details of the presidency and his most important relationships. It’s a world in which no one is safe, from close family and confidants to key political figures of both parties and members of the media.”

The series was created by Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Matt Lapin, Tim Luecke, and R.J. Fried and is based on a recurring segment from Colbert’s late night talk show The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Our Cartoon President has an all-new episode premiering this Sunday Night @ 8 pm ET/PT entitled “Media Strategy”. In it, the President battles with the news media after an embarrassing video surfaces of First Lady Melania rolling her eyes, leading her to seek face coaching from Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
