Notes from Aisha Tyler Reddit AMA

In celebration of her new book,  “Self-Inflicted Wounds: Heartwarming Tales of Epic Humiliation” Archer star Aisha Tyler (aka Lana) took part in a Reddit AMA. Check out some fun notes after the jump!

Aisha Tyler is one tall glass of hot cocoa one that I really want to taste. She’s also a hysterical stand-up comedian and she is getting ready to host the return of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and already is co-host of The Talk. Her new book,  “Self-Inflicted Wounds: Heartwarming Tales of Epic Humiliation”, is out now and its basically a collection of embarrassing stories that Aisha has experienced and if you have ever heard her stand up then you know it’s going to be hysterical.

To help promote her new book, Aisha Tyler took part in a Reddit AMA and in it she talked a little bit about her playing ‘Lana’ on the hit FX animated series:

On her favorite episodes:

I love them all, but probably a tie between Skytanic and Skorpio. Skytanic has Pam taking a dump while watching Cyrill and Carol have sex, and also the Vealy Vulva run. Skorpio has the two man threesome and some excellent chocolate boobprints on the wall of the yacht’s master suite. Both reek of excellence.

Aisha would also answer on what if anything gets left on the cutting room floor in terms of network censorship, and the answer was rather surprising to me:

Nothing ever gets edited out. What we record is what makes it in. F/X often tells us we can go harder. They are they greatest human beings in the entire galaxy. As far as what is too offensive, I can’t think of anything. We have unlimited ‘shits” but only one “fuck” per show. Which, really, is a lot like life.

And finally, Aisha was asked if there were any stories that she told that were maybe TOO difficult for her to tell and as expected she never holds back:

As for difficulties, no. I loved telling all those humiliating stories. I make my guests tell embarrassing stories on my podcast so it only felt fair that I cough up the goods myself finally. Some of them hurt but once you get them off your chest it’s always a relief. And then no one can use them against you.
