Clownfish TV is a piece of shit podcast and so is Screenrant, so when those two shit forces come together to try and challenge Kevin Smith on his take on Masters of the Universe, it’s extra satisfying to see them get dunked on. The controversy in question was when Clownfish TV claimed to have an insider (they don’t, I checked) for the series making claims about certain potential spoilery storylines. Turns out, they were false, and Kevin cleared up any confusion.

Should have been done there, right? Wrong!! Clownfish TV then references a horseshit Screenrant article (point of interest, most Screenrant articles are written in India or third party services, seldom do they have any legitimate writers) as a way to challenge the friggin’s showrunner. Clownfish TV then again gets dunked on, but they got the social attention they were looking for. Their Youtube channel has over 100k subscribers, but they’d be lucky if any of their videos nowadays get 10% of that, which means, they aren’t making any money and this is how they get any attention.

In terms of Skeletor, we learned two things about the popular villain this week: 1) Mark Hamill came out of “voice actor retirement” to take on the role 2) The former voice of Skeletor, Alan Oppenheimer, was in an interview with Toonado where he talks about the fact that he is still well-known as the popular villain.

In a recent interview with Collider, who I guess is just discovering Seis Manos six plus months after the entire series dropped, it doesn’t sound like the producers of the show are optimistic about the chances for a second season. I’m more or less reading in between the lines, and it just sounds like, that despite the show having scripts written for seasons two and possibly three, the show just quite hasn’t found an audience just yet to warrant another season.

That said, it’s not like Powerhouse Animation is slowing down. The studio notes in the interview that they get calls constantly for other projects and even voice actor Vic Chao has noted that the game has definitely changed as a result of COVID-19.

Powerhouse Animation is in the news today for almost their entire portfolio, so let’s get into it.

First up, in a recent interview with AWN.comproducer Kevin Kolde discussed a bunch all about Castlevania. The video game adapted to an anime series has received critical acclaim every year since it has premiered and is currently in production for a fourth season for Netflix, and while the interview comes in short supply in information about the upcoming season and more a constant wonder as to the amount of violence in the show, Kevin does drop a tidbit that fans should be excited to hear:

“At this point, the show is the characters,” Kolde says. “We want to know what’s going to happen with Alucard, what’s going to happen with Trevor and Sypha, and what’s going to happen with Hector and Lenor and Carmilla and Isaac and Striga. All their stories are in motion without a conclusion. We have the challenge of bringing together all the things we set in motion at the end of Season 3 and also wondering how we’re going to top this last finale in Season 4. We’re pretty sure people are going to be happy with the new season.”

Hopefully.  I mean, I would hate to think we were making a show nobody likes. In any case, Kevin is not only a producer for Castlevania, but he’s also a producer for the very promising Heaven’s Forest which Netflix has also ordered and is currently in production.
