NBC Prez: “If ‘Coach’ reboot is a success…Alf comes back”. Me: “YES!”
NBC’s Prez Bob Greenblatt capped off a rather uneventful TCA with a rather awesome quote. According to Deadline.com:
“It’s not a direct kind of reboot,” he said about the new Coach, with original creator Barry Kemp. It’s a picking up and it’s an extended family and Hayden is a grandfather, and a father-and-son story. So it’s a way to do another variation on a family show with, I think, a truly talented star and a great showrunner and a presold title. And if that works, then Alf: The Series is next.”
To quote Seth Rogen in This Is The End after he finds out that a zombie apocalypse was causing shit outside to go down…’FUCK!’
If Alf: The Series came back, that would be bad-ass. I know the creator wants to do it, you want to do it, I want to do it, so I don’t know I’m going to watch the Coach reboot just to bring back Alf.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
