JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Continues On Toonami This Summer!

Shine On, you Crazy Diamond

On the heels of the recent news about the Golden Wind adaptation, Toonami has decided to coast on all of the recent JoJo hype and make its own announcement. Part 3 of the story, Stardust Crusaders, is currently in the home stretch as the Joestar family and friends wrap up their battle with vampire lord DIO. Once that finishes later next month, the story will shift to another well known installment, Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable, which will begin airing on August 18th!

A sharp contrast between the globetrotting journeys of Parts 2 and 3, Part 4 focuses entirely in the remote Japanese town of Morioh, following a new protagonist as per tradition with each subsequent JoJo storyline. Josuke Higashikata is a (relatively) normal high school student until he’s pulled into the world of Stands by his older relative, Jotaro Kujo, who has tracked down one of DIO’s henchmen to his town. Armed with his own Stand, Shining Diamond, Josuke works with his friends and family in order to protect their home from threats both inside and out.

Part 4 wrapped airing in Japan at the end of 2016, so Toonami getting on top of the show right as Part 5 comes out hopefully means good things about quickly getting a dub for that too. But while you wait for this premiere, check out the announcement on Toonami’s Facebook page, and our most recent Stardust Crusaders review and keep up with Bubbleblabber for more dubbed anime news as it comes out!
