Is this the real inspiration behind Frank Grimes?

Someone on Facebook had the presence of mind to start up a group for real life people with the name Frank Grimes. Frank Grimes, as you may or may not know, is sort of a cult favorite character on The Simpsons that was killed off years ago after trying to insult Homer in an episode entitled “Homer’s Enemy”

Well as it turns out, the character may have been inspired in real-life, as the only person to really join the Facebook group had a full blown story with the group’s moderator detailing a time in which a real Frank Grimes had run into a double-parked Nancy Cartwright whilst working in security at the Church of Scientology. Turns out, a not-so-friendly exchange went down, and as a result Frank became the supposed inspiration for The Simpsons character. Moreover, the two would reconnect, and Frank revealed himself to Nancy as Frank Jr., which of course could have become the inspiration for Frank Grimes Jr in “The Great Louse Character”.

The story sounds ridiculous, but plausible, and you can read it in full detail over here. But, if you’re someone that lives in Los Angeles, and you run into a Simpsons voice that is clearly in legal violation you may or may not want to let it go for fear of being a Simpsons character that is subsequently killed.
