Holy Crap! Peter Griffiths Ran for Office in the UK Elections
The elections in the United Kingdom are over. The most important takeaway from the event? Peter Griffiths ran for office.
Okay, Independence Party MP candidate Peter Griffiths might not have the exact same name as the Family Guy patriarch, but people (like me) still took the opportunity to connect the two. Griffiths’ campaign posters were even graffitied with images of Griffin.
The candidate, however, brushed the gestures off as the work of “unimaginative, childish vandals.” Though he might be referring moreso to the additions of Hitler mustaches and dicks to some of his portraits.
The former airline pilot was out to prove he was no joke though. “It seems these people have gone to a lot of trouble to try to derail a legitimate election campaign,” Griffiths said. “It may be I just have an unfortunate name, but I would be more than happy to debate with these people on any of the issues on which they may disagree with me.”
I, for one, would like to know his views on the firing of high school teacher Mr. Fargus, people from the 1800s, and citizens’ right to rent pornography and fire off some knuckle-children in the privacy of his own neighbor’s living room while his neighbor is at work because I don’t have a DVD player.
Griffiths isn’t in on the joke, but he’s not totally without a sense of humor either.
“I don’t watch Family Guy myself, but my family do, so I know about the character. Someone took the poster down and brought it to my house,” he said. “It has pride of place on my front porch now.”
Griffiths was defeated in the election by Conservative party candidate Nusrat Ghani, who has a world of joke possibilities attached to her name as well.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
